In order to meet the requirements of mechanical operation such as lubrication and heat dissipation, metal processing aids, stamping oil, drawing oil, etc. must be added in spinning metal processing. However, there will be a lot of dirt on the surface of the processed hardware. Therefore, how to remove the dirt on the hardware? The types of dirt on the hardware are more diverse, including oil, grease, handprints, metal powder, and some watermarks.


If we want to clean them all at once, then we must have a better comprehensive cleaning agent, usually water-based cleaning agent is recommended. There are many types of water-based cleaners on the market, such as CLF-700 and so on. According to the different materials of the hardware, it can be divided into: stainless steel cleaning agent, aluminum cleaning agent, copper cleaning agent, galvanized sheet cleaning agent, multi-functional cleaning agent and so on.


Spinning metal processing relies on quantity, so the batch quality of cleaning is very important. In response to this requirement, the cleaning method can be immersed or ultrasonic cleaning.


The immersion style is very simple. Take the aforementioned CLF-700 as an example. Mix CLF-700 with 50-60 degree hot water into 5% working fluid. Then use a mesh basket to load the hardware and soak it directly into the cleaning fluid. After 1-2 minutes, lift the cleaning basket up and down to play a role of washing. Then soak for another 1-2 minutes, then wash again and take it out. Then rinse with clean water several times to remove the cleaning liquid on the surface. Finally, perform dewatering and drying according to the hardware structure.


There are two important points to pay attention to. One is the overwater after washing, which is similar to the principle of washing clothes. It takes one or two more times to completely remove the washing liquid. On the other hand, there are a lot of impurities in tap water, which will leave a circle of watermarks after drying. If the surface of the hardware has high requirements, pure water should be used in the last rinse.


The ultrasonic cleaning method is the same as the immersion process, except that ultrasonic cleaning is used for enhanced cleaning in cleaning and removing dirt. It should be pointed out that ultrasound is only an aid to enhance the cleaning effect, and the key to the washing of hardware is the cleaning agent.
